Sian Jones, Head of Internal Communications/Acting Vision 2020 lead

Sian has been head of internal communications at the Bank of England since April 2015. She spent most of her career working in external communications in central government, including spells at the Department of Work and Pensions, the Teacher Training Agency and the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit. She started out as a journalist before moving into press parliamentary and PR work in the voluntary sector. Outside work, Sian is a lay magistrate, sitting in East London.

Join us as we discuss her Bank’s experience of using advocates and champions networks to drive understanding, awareness and engagement with change. In particular she’ll discuss how a network of digital champions – Digital Ninjas – has driven up digital skills and awareness across the Bank and supported adoption of new technologies.
