Creating Systems to Avoid a ‘Messy Back-End’

I was recently interviewed on a US podcast show called ‘The Messy BackEnd’.

We were talking about creating processes in your business to enable you to run a successful business whilst getting to ‘live more’.

I was asked how to ensure as a business owner that you are getting to live your life as well as run your business.

My advice: Start with what you want your outcome to be.

Be really clear about what you want your business and your life to look like. Take the time to work it out and plan it out. Then you can organise your processes accordingly.

I also talked about being flexible and monitoring and reviewing whether what you’re doing is working for you and, if it isn’t, to change it!

We also discussed outsourcing and I mentioned some of the tools I use:

Zapier – to connect your platforms and apps and set up automation

Todoist – to manage your to do list

Evernote – to use as your ‘external brain’ and for general note taking
